Early Childhood Education Home Visitor (6 mos. Exp Req)

Futures Unlimited is located in Wellington, Kansas and is Sumner County's premier early childhood provider. As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, your department will be comprised of another home visitor and a family engagement coordinator as your supervisor. We offer a supportive, highly collaborative, and FUN work environment with over 30 years of experience in early childhood education.
As an Early Head Start home visitor, you will:
- Coordinate individual and/or group Early Head Start activities for children, their families, and program staff to enhance teaching, learning, and collaboration.
- Assist parents of children ages birth-5 in identifying and accessing community resources necessary to be self-sufficient and to develop and maintain families.
- Interact with parents in home and classroom settings on how they can best engage with their children to bring healthy family outcomes.
- Organize engaging and FUN activities to empower parents to actively promote child learning and development within their own family unit.

Qualifications
Skills required for this fulfilling position include at least six months of experience in the early childhood field and a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of the children and families Futures Unlimited supports.
Requirement for the position:
- Home Visitor Child Development Associates (CDA) or comparable credential
OR
- Equivalent coursework as part of an associate or bachelor's degree.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to drive throughout Sumner County.
