Role: Sr. Android Developer
Location: (Hybrid) Chicago , IL
Duration: Long Term Contract
Manager Note:
- The manager wants this candidate to be very senior and have experience with JETPACK and working with AI tools.
- Hybrid onsite here in Chicago 1-2 days onsite. Needs to be local to Chicago, IL
Description:
- Design and develop software applications (apps) for mobile phones, Smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
- May develop on one or more mobile platforms including Apple iOS, BlackBerry, Google Android, Microsoft Windows Mobile, and/or other mobile platforms.
- Manage full software development life cycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
- Perform product design, bug verification, and beta support which may require research and analysis.
Requirements:
- Create, maintain and implement the source code to develop mobile apps and programs that meet the needs and requirements of the clients using the computer programming languages.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
- Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code
- Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
- Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
- Design interfaces to improve user experience
- Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
- Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
- Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
- Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Mobile developer Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
- In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
