Role: Sr Cloud Network Engineer with automation
Location: Bellevue, WA 98006 (Onsite 3 days week)
Job Description:

Must Have Skills
- Skill 1 Network onboarding and provisioning in cloud environments.
- Skill 2 Automation tools for network configuration and management (e.g., Terraform)
- Skill 3 Cloud networking services (VPCs, Direct Connect, VPN gateways, transit gateways, network firewalls, web application firewalls)
- Skill 4- Network security principles and best practices
- Skill 5- Network security standards and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA)
- Skill 6- AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, Azure Network
- Domain Experience (If any ) Telecom
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the network onboarding process for new users and systems into Cloud environment
- Provision and configure network resources in Cloud, ensuring compliance with security policies and government regulations.
- Implement secure network architectures, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing tables, and network access control lists across AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
- Configure and manage cloud networking services for secure connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments, such as AWS Direct Connect, Azure VPN Gateway, and transit gateways.
- Implement network security controls, such as security groups, network firewalls, and web application firewalls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs using cloud services for flow logs, activity trails, and threat detection to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration of applications and services into the cloud network infrastructure.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network security policies, procedures, and documentation in compliance with security standards. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cloud network-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud networking services, security features, and best practices across multiple platforms
Qualifications
- Assesses the candidate's experience with the network onboarding process and provisioning in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Evaluates the candidate's experience with automation tools for network configuration and management.
- Measures the candidate's hands-on experience with cloud networking services across AWS, Azure, and other major cloud providers.
- Assesses the candidate's in-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices for secure network design and implementation.
- Evaluates the candidate's knowledge of government network security standards and compliance requirements.
- Measures the candidate's relevant certifications which indicate their proficiency and expertise in cloud network engineering.
