Fuyao Glass America Inc. is the world’s largest automotive glass fabrication and value-added assembly facility, with great products and a strong market position worldwide. The Fuyao plant produces laminated and tempered automotive safety glass and supplies the world’s top automotive brands.
The Intern is responsible for research of technologies assembly and automation problems that have direct impact to the quality and production of products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist formulating the process improvement plan to identify risks or address the issues which can affect the production output or product quality;
Work with the team to design each process of new production lines, standardize the process requirements for all equipment, and maximize the automation level to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of new lines;
Support the process can satisfy production requirements, standardize procedures, and optimize materials;
Specially design the production process for the OEM operation in the facilities;
Utilize statistical tools (such as GR&R, SPC and Cp/pCk) to ensure processes/fixtures are scalable and are continuing to perform properly once qualified.
Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-Year Degree Engineering or similar college program.
Solid Communication, Effective Planning & Organizational skills
MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)
3D modeling designs, and CAD software as UG, Catia or Solidworks
Prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
Must be 18 years of age or older.
