Production Supervisor Lead

Job Description

The Head of Production is responsible for overseeing the production process at Fuyao Glass Corporation of America. This involves ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and deployed to their assigned positions, as well as maintaining basic proficiency in every position on the production line.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Conducting pre-shift meetings with production staff
• Providing guidance and leadership to team members and motivating them to achieve their goals
• Deploying personnel on lines as needed
• Maintaining knowledge of Fuyao products and the PLEX system
• Communicating with FGA planners and customers regarding shipping and receiving processes
• Directing forklift drivers as necessary

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as 1-3 years of manufacturing experience or training.

The work environment is moderately noisy, and safety requirements include wearing safety glasses and steel-toed work boots. The employee will be regularly required to stand for long periods and perform duties such as turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience or training
• High School Diploma or equivalent
