About the Role
Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Property Manager will be responsible for the daily operations and profitability of assigned commercial properties. This role requires a proactive, client-focused professional who can manage contractors, ensure compliance with lease agreements, and maintain strong relationships with tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of commercial properties to ensure cost-effective and efficient management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, service providers, and contractors.
- Review and interpret lease agreements, ensuring compliance with tenant and landlord responsibilities.
- Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a seamless process.
- Conduct routine property inspections, identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly.
- Source and manage vendors, ensuring competitive bidding and quality service.
- Develop and implement property management policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, including lease agreements, service contracts, and maintenance reports.
- Prepare financial reports, manage invoices, and approve payments.
- Ensure all properties comply with safety regulations and company standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5 years in commercial property management preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Yardi and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications: Property Management Professional Certification is a plus.
- Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position is primarily office-based but requires frequent site visits to assigned properties. The role involves walking, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable working outside standard office hours when necessary.
