Pet Groomer

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may need attention.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their grooming needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
• Handle pets with care, using proper restraint techniques to ensure their safety during grooming sessions.
• Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Experience

• Previous experience in dog handling or pet care is preferred.
• Familiarity with kennel operations or dog training is a plus.
• Experience in animal restraint techniques is essential for ensuring safety during grooming sessions.
• Background as a veterinary technician or in veterinary settings is advantageous but not required.
• Strong customer service skills are necessary to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
