Driver Recruiter / Operations Support

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Recruiter / Operations Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in attracting and retaining drivers and other frontline employees, and assisting with operational tasks. This position requires strong relationship management skills, effective communication, and flexibility. The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs efficiently.

Duties

• Work closely with the operations and management teams to understand staffing needs and forecast future hiring requirements.
• Create and utilize various recruitment strategies, including job boards, social media, and networking events to attract qualified employees.
• Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and schedule interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the company.
• Maintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. Provide feedback to candidates post-interview, fostering a positive candidate experience.
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all paperwork and training is completed efficiently.
• Stay informed about DOT regulations and industry standards. Ensure all hiring practices comply with federal and state laws.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor practices to adapt recruitment strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of recruiting metrics, such as time-to-fill and candidate sources, and report on progress to management.
• Develop and utilize various retention strategies to assist the company with building a dedicated and loyal workforce, reduce hiring costs, and improve the overall performance of the fleet.
• Operational tasks as assigned. All other duties assigned?? Performs all other duties as assigned??

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recruiting, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry - preferred
• Strong ability to build rapport with potential drivers quickly.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting recruitment goals.
• Ability to facilitate orientation and oversee the successful completion of new hire paperwork and compliance of files.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver qualifications is a plus.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
