Entry Level Technician - optical

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced medical environment. The Entry Level Technician will assist in various clinical tasks and ensure the smooth operation of medical office functions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including gathering medical history and verifying insurance information.
• Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Support doctors and other healthcare professionals during patient examinations and procedures.
• Operate and maintain clinical equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic.
• Provide assistance with medical coding and billing processes as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient care and clinic efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience in a clinic or medical office setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with medical records management and basic medical coding principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is beneficial.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.

• Recent graduate or equivalent experience (0-2 years).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
