Job Summary

The primary role of the Business Banking & Retail Support assists the business development team by performing clerical support such as gathering necessary documentation and files from potential clients for processing, managing data, reports, and providing administrative support. They may also help with Retail functions, client relations, and sales strategies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide administrative and client relationship support for the Lending, Business Development, and Retail teams.
  • Develop knowledge of Bank products and services to support Bank teams to ensure consistent customer relationship growth and management.
  • Organize, track, and ensure the progress of all required paperwork for Business Development Officers to verify documents are completed correctly and on time.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer experience standards are met.
  • Facilitate the distribution of documents at the Business Development Officers’ request to clients.
  • Respond to department-specific questions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains existing client relationships though the processing of client requests, resolving client inquiries, and making sure key client information and documentation is current.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and professional communication via email, phone, in-person, or digital.
  • Follow up on documentation, missing CIP (Customer Information Program) details, BSA documents/information, and prepare files for processing.
  • Follow-up with prospects and business contacts.
  • Follow up with maturities, including CD’s/CDARS for existing clients.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, security and audit procedures, preventing fraud and protecting customer assets.
  • Support Retail & Branch in achieving its operational, sales, service, and compliance goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to two years of administrative experience
  • Previous experience in banking preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Guarded and protective over sensitive documents and other communications

Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
  • Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to observe, perceive, and identify data
  • Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile, and/or bus
