Position: Sales Manager
Location: Beaufort, SC
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will oversee the store’s sales department. This role involves driving sales and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The Sales Manager will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager to ensure sales goals are met and customer satisfaction remains high.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
•Implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
•Motivate and train the sales team on best practices for customer engagement and product knowledge.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations as well as morning and weekly sales training sessions.
Customer Service Excellence:
•Ensure that customers receive a high-quality shopping experience, handling any escalated customer concerns professionally.
•Assist in Maintaining the showroom’s visual appeal and layout, showcasing products effectively.
Inventory and Merchandising Support:
•Manage mattress inventory levels by ordering mattresses and mattress accessories and adjust mattress displays based on sales trends.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
•Review daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales reports with the Operations Manager, highlighting performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
•Analyze sales data to recommend adjustments in strategy or product focus.
Team Management:
•Assist in recruiting and training new sales staff under the direction of the Operations Manager.
•Schedule team shifts and ensure sufficient coverage during peak hours and promotional events.
Collaboration and Communication:
•Work closely with the Operations Manager, Buying Team and Marketing Manager to align sales efforts with inventory and promotional activities.
•Communicate effectively with the sales team about new products, sales initiatives, and store goals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
•3 years in a sales management role, preferably in furniture retail, with proven team leadership experience.
•Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals and managing customer relationships.
Skills:
•Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
•Proficiency in inventory management and reporting tools.
•Ability to train, motivate, and mentor a sales team.
• Ability to learn and utilize new computer programs
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
