Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and maintain our enterprise-grade network infrastructure. This role requires advanced expertise in engineering and administering multiprotocol devices, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-class networks and demonstrate managerial and project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a DoD network infrastructure, including Cisco applications (ISE & DNAC), Cisco network devices, F5 appliances, and RSA appliances.
- Enhance LAN, WAN, and WLAN architectures for optimal performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain robust network management and monitoring systems to achieve zero downtime.
- Install, configure, and manage switches, routers, and other networking devices.
- Automate repetitive networking tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in their execution.
- Implement and enforce network security measures to align with business requirements.
- Conduct network performance and integrity tests, analyze results, and generate detailed reports.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of network disaster recovery plans.
- Resolve escalated network-related support issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business partners to provide network engineering support and solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Security certification.
- Active CCNA certification.
- Proficiency with Cisco ISE and DNAC applications.
- Strong understanding of IPSec and MPLS infrastructure for WAN connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with F5 appliances and RSA devices.
- Ability to automate networking processes and monitor their impact.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
