Job Description:
Floating Maintenance Techs within Fairway Management play a key role in the organization by providing support to their assigned properties and filling in to perform routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting and basic equipment or facility repairs. They are responsible for maintaining curb appeal of the property, buildings and common areas.
Essential Functions:
- Complete daily resident work orders .
- Be available for on call after hours.
- Must have applicable maintenance tools.
- Conduct unit turns in a timely manner including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
- Preform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs.
- Must be able to work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
- Travel to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
- Be alert to any emergencies, suspicious persons or events and notify appropriate staff.
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or the equivalent
- Must be willing to commute anywhere from 30 minute to 2 hours on a daily basis and must be open to potential over night stay
- Prior experience in Maintenance, Construction or related field, required
- 1 year of Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and Appliance repair knowledge
