Maintenance Technician - Portage, WI 

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our Portage, WI plant.  This individual will maintain and troubleshott all machine and proces systems both electrical and mechanical.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain electrical equipment including but not limited to: motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, air conditioning, AC/DC drives, variable frequency drives and PLCs.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment of varying voltages including 0V to 480V.
• Installation and troubleshooting of relay and PLC, controlled equipment.

• Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to gear boxes, electric motors, and drive belts.

• Assist other maintenance and production personnel for repair projects and normal production.
• Work in the hot or cold and outdoor environment.
• Minor Cleanup and other duties.
• Keep company tools put away and in working order.
• Ability to maintain precision measurements
• Operate mobile equipment as needed.
• Must be prepared to wear all required PPE.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical systems including valves, solenoids, manual and automatic controls.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

• A degree in Electrical/electronic or equivalent vocational training with a mechanical background is preferred.
• Must have experience with fusing, thermal overload protection, wiring size, motor theory, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical gear.
• Familiar with process flows, machinery, mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, pneumatic systems and valves, Hydraulic systems and valves, conveyor systems, compressors, large rotating equipment, and other continuous process equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to work weekends as needed.
