Title Clerk

Job Overview:

Highway Commercial is a family-owned Equipment Finance business based in Columbus, OH. Since 2001 we have proudly served customers in all 50 states in transportation, construction, landscaping, food service, and various other industries.

Highway Commercial is seeking a Title Clerk to manage the processing of equipment titles and registrations for our finance portfolio. The ideal candidate will ensure all title and lien documentation is processed accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Title Processing: Prepare and submit title, lien, and registration documents to the appropriate authorities.
• Compliance: Ensure all titles meet state and federal regulations; verify lienholder information and other key data.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients, vendors, and state agencies to resolve any discrepancies or request additional documentation.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date title records, assisting in audits and internal reporting.
• Lien Releases/Transfers: Process lien releases, title transfers, and resolve issues related to titles.

• Education: High school diploma (required); associate degree in business or related field (preferred).
• Experience: 1 or more years in title processing, equipment finance, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience with DMV and lien filing is a plus.
• Notary Public: Notary Public is preferred, but not required.
• Transportation: Ability to drive to and from the Title Office is required
