What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandise Planner position at FYE?
Job Description
The Planner will develop seasonal product strategies that optimize inventory and maximize sales and profits for assigned area. You will partner to ensure strategies are met that meet or exceed profit goals. You will work with your Buyers to monitor Open-To-Buy and communicate over-/under-bought situations. You will provide recommendations for resolution to these situation. You will conduct in-season business analysis and forecasts of product as it relates to sell-through, weeks of supply, and product seasonality.
Education & Experience
· Minimum 2 year degree. Bachelor's degree (preferred)
· 2yrs retail experience (preferred)

- Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment

- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills (required)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners
- Communication style is confident, informative, adaptive to different styles and effective; persuasive
