Position: Production Planner
Position Status: Salary Exempt
Reports To: Supply Chain Director
Location: Bond St. in Green Bay or American Blvd. in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Position Summary:
The Production Planner coordinates production schedules as well as maintaining proper workflow processes and adequate inventory levels to fulfill customer needs and support corporate strategy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create/manage ongoing production schedules that meet the product and service demands of our customers at the lowest cost reasonably possible
- Inform customer service/supply chain & operations teams/management of any demand issues.
- Calculate optimal production sequences to maximize asset utilization in hand with customer satisfaction.
- Ensure appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays.'
- Back up aspects of the Sr. Planner position during times of need (FMLA, Vacation, Sickness, etc.).
- Contribute to improvement initiatives of our production and distribution processes.
- Manage WIP (work in progress) & finished goods inventory stocking strategies.
- Help manage finished goods inventory requirements to meet the company’s cost and customer service objectives.
- Inform operator(s) of any schedule issues and BOM changes.
- Actively participate in interviews, performance reviews and job advancement discussions
- Demonstrate and enforce following safe work practices and policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Manage NetSuite transactions to ensure departmental efficiency.
- Understand and participate in reaching the department’s daily and monthly procurement metrics.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, being directly involved with improving logistics efficiencies, reducing costs, identifying unfavorable trends, and taking timely corrective actions.
- Resolve personnel problems as necessary in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Keep a positive, energetic, can-do attitude when representing the company to employees, customers, and visitors.
- Ability to climb, walk, do light lifting, sit for long periods, or stand for long periods.
- Organized, analytical, creative, and adaptive in your approach to problem solving.
- Assist in troubleshooting supply chain issues and seeking collaborative input to find solutions.
- Knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Successfully track, report, manage and move projects from start to finish.
- Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.
- Performs other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Two (2) years of production planning experience in a professional level preferable in production support and/or work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Make independent judgments relating to areas of responsibility with little supervision.

- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite of products, with a focus on Outlook, Excel, and Word.

- Enjoys working in a strong team environment.
- Minimal travel – less than 5% of the time. Travel primarily related to business and professional development and training.
Work Relationship and Scope:
Reports to the Supply Chain Director. Works closely with the Sr. Planner and all other colleagues at FyterTech to accomplish established goals.
