Job Responsibilities
Physical Therapy Aide Duties:
- Assist physical therapists with patient care under direct supervision.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after sessions.
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and ensure proper technique.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during therapy sessions.
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and check in patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm appointments via phone and email.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide basic information about services.
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage and benefits.
Fitness & Wellness Program Support:
- Assist in organizing and setting up fitness and wellness classes.
- Provide support to clients participating in wellness programs.
- Ensure fitness equipment is clean, operational, and properly maintained.
- Promote wellness initiatives and provide information on available programs.
- Collaborate with team members to develop engaging wellness activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in health sciences is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using office software and scheduling systems.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is preferred.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, integrity and empathetic toward people that are in pain
