Responsibilities
- Handle patient scheduling, appointments, multi-phone line
- Gather new patient data; keep track of all patient referrals
- Disseminate information to patients; act as a go-between for patients and therapists
- Collect all payments; insurance verification and authorizations
- Send benefits paperwork to billing companies
- Answer phones, act as a patient liaison, answer any questions from potential or current patients
- Follow up on web and social media inquiries and schedule leads for screening/discovery visits
- Schedule patients; coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders and cancellations
- Check mail; keep track of paper Explanation of Benefits sent in the mail, scan and upload to billing company
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Great communicator and multitasker, detail-oriented
- Positive attitude, good work ethic, integrity and empathetic toward people that are in in need of treatment
- Proficiency in the use of technology, computers, EHR and spreadsheets
- Previous experience in a clinic or physician's office is desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
