At Johnstone Supply - The Founder's Group, we’re looking for a talented Part Time Recruiter who’s passionate about supporting the ongoing growth of the business by building the team up!
PRIMARY PURPOSE –
The Part-Time Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle to attract, source and hire top talent for the Company. This role focuses on building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through innovative sourcing strategies, conducting thorough candidate assessments, and partnering with hiring managers to meet staffing needs across different departments. The Recruiter plays a key role in enhancing the candidate experience, promoting the Johnstone Supply brand and ensuring a diverse and inclusive hiring process that aligns with the Company’s long-term workforce goals and values.
WORK SCHEDULE –
Expectation: Non-Exempt remote position, requires up to 5 hours per day, Monday - Friday (20-25 hours per week).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –
- Manage the entire recruitment process from job posting, sourcing, and screening to scheduling interviews, and sending out job offers.
- Partner with department leaders/hiring managers to understand job requirements, create job postings, align recruitment strategies with business needs, provide timely updates, and meet deadline expectations.
- Proactively identify and source candidates using various channels such as job boards, hiring platforms, professional networks, employee referrals, and recruitment events.
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit before coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs, facilitating positive interactions with candidates to ensure impactful Johnstone Supply brand communication.
- Own the external and internal candidate recruitment experience from start to finish.
- Partner with local community organization to increase organizational branding and participation with local job fairs and regional hiring events
- Build a seasonal campaign and relationships to recruit and onboard temporary team members during peak seasons.
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to share with HR team to ensure the success of an ever-evolving recruitment process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE –
Education / Experience:
2-5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, across multiple levels and roles. Multi-site and remote recruitment experience is a must. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required); Basic understanding of HVAC industry is preferred but not required.
Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in managing the entire recruitment process, from job requisition to onboarding, ensuring timely and successful (long-term) placements.
- Strong knowledge of various candidate sourcing methods, including job boards, employee referrals, social media recruitment and industry-specific networks.
- Proficiency in using ATS platforms (such as Paylocity, used by Johnstone Supply).
- Knowledge of effective interview techniques and candidate evaluation methods, including behavioral-based, competency-based, and technical interview approaches.
- Understanding of current labor market trends, salary benchmarks, and emerging recruitment technologies to adapt sourcing strategies to stay competitive.
- Ability to work resourcefully to identify root causes for staffing issues and proactively identify solutions.
- Ability to own a variety of recruitment tracking tools to ensure success in everyday recruitment efforts.
- Ability to successfully juggle multiple open roles at once, and ensure timely close of each role (by set deadline).
