G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Arborist (Licensed) to join its team in Austin, TX .
Summary
The Arborist will be responsible for trimming and removing trees, removing unwanted vegetation, equipment operation, diseased or dying limbs on trees, and safely clearing vegetation while promoting sustainability and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Tree pruning, tree removal, brush chipping, and stump grinding
- Using climbing hooks, belts, ropes, and ladders
- Properly operating and maintaining equipment and tools such as chainsaws, handsaws, clippers, pruners, chippers, and sprayers
- Transplanting and removing trees and shrubs
- Inspecting trees for disease or pest problems
- Work off the ground in the tree canopy
- Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces to feed into woodchipper
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Performing other related work, as assigned by superiors
- Sprays to treat diseased or unhealthy trees, including mixing chemicals and calibrating spray equipment
- Identifying and informing supervisor(s) of tree failure risk
Non Negotiables
- Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment background and MVR check
- All field employees must complete First Aid/CPR and OSHA 10 courses upon hire, or submit current proof of certification within the first 90-days of employment
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Must be an ISA Certified Arborist and Licensed Commericial Applicator
- 3 years Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or related field
- 3 year experience working on tree trimming or brush clearing crews
- Tree pruning, tree removal, brush chipping, and stump grinding
