G.A. West is seeking a Procurement Manager for their home office in Creola, Alabama. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity. The Procurement Manager will lead the procurement department while ensuring overall purchasing best practices are formalised and followed.
Responsibilities
· Manages the procurement department and team in alignment with company core values
· Ensures best practices and overall procurement strategies are formalised and strictly followed
· Manages all vendor relationships and actively negotiates best pricing and terms
· Actively pursues new vendors
· Ensures competitive bids are received on all scopes of work/services to ensure company is receiving the best available pricing
· Spend Analysis – Monitors and analyses spend patterns to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
· Manages Small Tools/Warehouse Division while implementing best practices on inventory management
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Strong communication & negotiation skills
· Strong background in procure to pay processes & best practices
· Strategic sourcing & supplier relationship management
· Cost reduction initiatives – ability to track savings generated
· Inventory management
· Compliance management with all company policies
Experience
· Minimum 7 years’ experience with a strong background in overall procure to pay processes and best practices.

Salary range is based on experience.
