The Project Engineer role is traditionally a developmental role with multi-discipline opportunities for learning. Responsible for supporting the G.A. West Management and project team as needed and at the direction of his/her assigned supervisor. In summary, Project Engineer duties include support of the following:
Field Engineering:
· Layout sketches
· Generate RFI’s
· As-Built drawings
· Surveying
Safety:
· Project Audits
· Reporting
Project Estimating:
· Assisting with project estimates
· Equipment Plans
· Material plans
Project Planning:
· Job Tasking
· Basic project schedule development (P6)
Project Controls:
· Cost tracking / forecasting
· Reporting
· Basic Scheduling (P6)
· Critical Path monitoring
· Change Management
Procurement:
· Requisition & Commitment Tracking
· Equipment Monitoring
Responsible for adhering to G.A. West and customer Safety Programs
Responsible for comprehensive understanding and application of the Prime Contract
Responsible for providing proposal support as needed
Responsible for leading or participating with special requests as designated by G.A. West Management
Other related responsibilities as required
Requirements
B.S. in Construction Science, Construction Management or Engineering
Previous Intern experience is a plus
Required to travel to different construction sites as assigned
