G.A. West & Co. has openings for Experienced Structural Fitter Journeyman in Chunchula, AL. These are long-term, full-time roles. Details below:
- Must be able to read blueprints, section and plan drawings and weld symbols
- Must be able to read and derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure
- Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes and plates
- Use come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industry tools and equipment
- Install, use, and remove stop plates, dogs and pad eyes
- Expected to climb and work in high places and in confined spaces
- Must be capable of using power tools properly and safely
- Fabrication experience is a plus
- Must be familiar with OSHA rules and regulations
- Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening
