Optician/Optical Sales Consultant

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Dispense, adjust, and make basic repairs to frames.
• Review and interpret Optometrist's/MD's prescriptions.
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients.
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences.
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frame.
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by leadership while attending to patients' specific needs and desires.
• Work with the Regional Optical Manager in maintaining inventory of frames to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety.
• Communicate with the appropriate provider with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• Associate's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years optical sales experience is required.
• Optician license in Florida is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
