Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Dispense, adjust, and repair frames as needed
- Review and interpret Optometrist's/MD's prescriptions accurately
- Operate manual lensometers and other tools for proper patient fittings
- Provide expert guidance on corrective lens options, taking into account patients' medical needs and lifestyle preferences
- Offer honest and compassionate feedback on aesthetic choices in frames
- Achieve sales goals and quotas while prioritizing patients' specific needs and desires
- Collaborate with the Regional Optical Manager to maintain inventory and ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with providers regarding prescription and eye-related concerns
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED is required
- Associates degree is preferred
- Minimum two years of optical sales experience is mandatory
- Optician license in Florida is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Maintain a caring, helpful, and professional demeanor and appearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential
- Hands-on experience with office equipment, such as fax machines and printers, is necessary
- Solid written and verbal communication skills are crucial
- Be resourceful and proactive in resolving issues that arise
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities are required
