Company Introduction: G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. Our sole distribution center is in Syracuse, NY. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 28 states internationally.

Location: Syracuse, NY

Schedule: Saturday 8AM start time and Monday-Wednesday 4PM start time

Job Summary:

As a Loader, your primary responsibility is to load goods efficiently and safely onto trucks for delivery to customers by manually lifting and moving product cases using a variety of equipment and at different temperatures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are properly handled, sorted, and loaded according to shipping schedules and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform safe and efficient operation of a pallet jack, double pallet jack, and forklift.
• Perform an inventory of all products and pallets to assure accuracy.
• Accurately load palletized product onto trucks in order of driver stops
• Make sure that all safety measures are followed to secure the load.
• General clean-up of the dock when needed, assist with the truck cleaning, sweeping
• organization of the area.
• Assist in other department areas as needed
• Operation of a powered industrial truck (PIT)
• Additional duties as assigned

Experience and Education Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understand and utilize the ABLE system
• Must have a minimum of 6 months of selection experience
