Job Title : Warehouse Supervisor

Company Introduction : G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 28 states internationally. In recent years, G&C Foods has grown to be one of the most respected redistributors in the United States. We are rapidly expanding all areas of our organization.

Location : Syracuse, NY

Pay : $60,000-$70,000 Annually with an Associate Bonus Program

Schedule : Saturday 8a start time, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 4pm start time.

Job Summary :

At G&C Foods, we are looking for a responsible, effective and motivating Warehouse Supervisor to joining out warehouse management team! As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximizing productivity of our warehouse while motivating and cultivating our team members. The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise their Team Leaders and all other warehouse personnel to ensure both speed and accuracy of the incoming / outgoing of product and storage. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be a direct liaison between all corresponding departments.

This person will be responsible for :

Employee Relations and Advisement :

Provide advisement to employees, supervisors and managers on a variety of topics related to HR

Act as mediator to assist with employee issues, conflicts and investigations.

Assist with documentation for employee warnings and disciplinary actions including assisting with employee terminations

Conducts Exit Interviews when warranted

Benefits Administration :

Assist with Annual independent Audits to produce 5500 filings

Assisting participants with Fidelity portal.

Provide benefit education to employees as needed and through educational opportunities with vendors

Administer / Process Annual Benefit Renewal with broker and benefit vendors

Assist with Open Enrollment processes (ADP changes) and provide employee support for annual elections through communication and meetings

Administer Wellness Committee activities such as allocation of Wellness Funds from Excellus, Biometric Screening Event, Flu Shot Clinic, etc.

Policy Development, Implementation, Enforcement and Training :

Develops and implements personnel policies and procedures with approval from the Northeast Corporate office.

Assists in maintaining employee handbook, updating as needed for compliance

Assist with Annual Harassment Prevention Training as well as other annualized training required.

Labor Law Compliance Postings

Onboarding and Orientation :

Assist the HR Onboarding Partner with New Hire Orientations, Interviews and welcoming new employees. providing company information and facilitating training on policies and procedures.

Compliance Management :

Staying updated on employment laws, ensuring adherence to regulations, and maintaining employee records.

Employee Communications & Engagement :

Communicating company policies, updates, and important information to employees.

Lead Employee Engagement activities in the facility.

Job Requirements :

Knowledge of warehouse procedures.

Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.

Strong leadership skills; train, motivate, direct the work of others.

Strong organizational skills; attention to detail, meet deadlines and work in a production-driven environment.

Ability to plan and conduct effective meetings.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

5-7 years of warehouse hands on required, mid level management experience preferred.

Ability to handle written and oral reviews and disciplinary actions.

Knowledge of Excel and Word.
