What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gardener I - Airfield San Jose position at G & C Staffing LLC?
Pay Range: $20.00-$22.00 (depending on experience)
The Cannabis Gardener I is responsible to maintain our vertically integrated grow operation. This entry-level position requires an interest in learning about cultivation methods and exceptional attention to detail. Gardener I will work with multiple team members within our cultivation department to complete entry-level cultivation tasks. This position will report to our Airfield dispensary location.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with the Leadership team to assess any needs.
- Model the core values of Service, Education & Accountability on a daily basis
- Assist in operating grow rooms under leadership guidance.
- Perform daily maintenance tasks in grow rooms as per cultivation management instructions. Tasks include pruning, de-leafing, netting, canopy maintenance, etc.
- Handle plants and flowers with care up to the harvesting phase.
- Aid in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of grow-related equipment.
- Collaborate with leadership for daily gardening tasks such as sorting, skirting, transplanting, Integrated Pest Management, etc., as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
What You Have
- Cannabis cultivation experience, preferred not required.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Able to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Able to work independently.
- Comfortable handling pesticides & other yield materials
- Strong attention to detail
Working Environment
- Operations: This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and working in proximity with staff and vendors.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to climb ladders, stand, walk, lift, sit, and bend for a majority of their work schedule.
- Ability to use a computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
- Required to have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history. Must have own transportation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the local law enforcement or local Police Department.
