What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Maintenance Manager position at G&D Integrated?
SUMMARY:
The Corporate Maintenance Manager position is responsible for overseeing all maintenance projects as well as the grounds upkeep at the facilities. This position will also supervise, train, coordinate and assist the employees who repair and maintain the facilities, tools and equipment.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible for management of workforce. Responsible for detailed account of production labor hours captured.Prepare work schedules, assign work and oversee the production of maintenance employees. Maintain PM schedules for all facilities, company vehicles and equipment. (30%)
- Familiar with a variety of maintenance concepts, practices and procedures. Operate forklift and scissor lift. Use tools such as hand held power and non-power tools, torches, welders and hoist. Perform tasks such as paint, weld, minor plumbing, HVAC and yard landscaping.(20%)
- Install or replace machinery, equipment, parts and instruments using hand and power tools. Transfer tools and equipment to and from various work locations. (15%)
- May be involved with new construction or modification of existing facilities and makes recommendations for maintenance (or outside contractors) to perform such work based on complexity, knowledge and cost. Meet with vendors for any required proposals before use of outside vendors. (10%)
- Maintains a safe working environment (by practicing safe measures, investing in conversations about safe practices and reviewing safe job procedures). (10%)
- Improves Shop Efficiency, Productivity and Employee Engagement by working collaboratively, thinking creatively and providing innovative suggestions. (10%)
- Travel to all facilities. This will require some overnight stays. (5%)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Experience in a World Class environment serving Fortune 500 customers is preferred
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft office
- Some tools used to accomplish these goals include Inventory and Materials Management Best Practices, Lean and Six Sigma techniques, value stream mapping, standard work/process engineering, cross-functional deployment maps, multi-generational project plans, and key performance indicator scorecards
- Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience operating counterbalance (sit down) forklift and Order Picker preferred.
- Five years’ experience in Maintenance environments with two years supervising employees
