G&E Partners have collaborated with a renowned general contractor headquartered in Chicago, IL. We're seeking an Estimating Manager to ensure continued success of our clients growth.
Markets: Heavy Highway, Road, Rail, Site Development and Utilities.
What You’ll Do
As the Estimating Manager, you’ll oversee all estimating functions, ensuring timely and accurate cost proposals that align with project goals and company standards. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to develop cost strategies and win work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the estimating team across all active bids and proposals
- Develop cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering strategies for projects
- Manage bid schedules and ensure timely proposal submissions
- Analyze project plans, specs, and drawings to identify risk and scope
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing and manage relationships
- Present estimates and strategies to senior leadership for review
- Improve systems, tools, and processes for estimating and preconstruction
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of Estimating experience in Heavy Civil Construction (heavy highway, rail, bridge and road)
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven track record of successful bids.
- Proficiency in HCSS Heavy bid, Heavy Job, AgTek, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Local client relationships are a plus.
Compensation:
- $170,000.00 - $220,000.00
- Performance base bonus.
