Job Summary
The PT Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our law firm. This position involves assisting with various administrative, scheduling, and clerical tasks to ensure a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of calendaring, scheduling, travel coordination and experience in a legal office environment.
Duties
- Maintain an updated calendar and tickler system
- Schedule hearings, depositions, conferences, and appointments
- Retain court reporter and videographer for depositions
- Book travel arrangements and prepare itineraries for attorneys and clients
- Draft pleadings for paralegal/attorney review
- Must be proactive, detailed oriented, and a good communicator
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office required.
- Legal terminology a plus with familiarity with legal office practices.
- Experience with scheduling/calendaring with multiple parties is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
