Preschool Coach

G Force Gymnastics Academy is located on 4487 Irving Blvd NW, Albuquerque NM 87114. Are you #GForceFierce? We are always on the lookout for Fierce new talent to add to our excellent staff. Our Preschool program is an instructional gymnastics program that introduces gymnastics concepts and skills to young participants from walking to 5 years old. This program focuses on engaging participants with various drills designed to help them reach their full athletic potential while having fun. Our world class curriculum is easy to follow and prepares the little athletes to join our GEM Star program at age 6. Preschool coaches are cross trained to coach our GEM Star program and Tumbling classes, but the permanent Preschool schedule remains the same.

All Preschool coach positions are part time and applicants may choose one of the three set schedules listed below. Please note the set schedule for the position you are applying for. Extra hours are often available, and if more than one schedule is available at the time of hiring you can apply to work multiple schedules. We have unpaid holiday breaks throughout the year. The remaining 2024 closures are Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 27th-30th) and winter break (Dec 22nd-Jan 4th).

Available Preschool coach schedules are:

• Sunday from 9:55am - 3:15pm, AND Monday from 3:25pm - 7:45pm.
• Wednesday from 3:25pm - 7:15pm, AND Saturday from 8:55pm - 3:15pm.

While we do provide on the job training for coaches, some basic requirements for coach applicants are:

• Customer service mindset and communication skills 
• Physical capability to lift up to 30lbs repeatedly
• Confidence in leading large groups of children
• Love of education and competitive sports
• Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds, personalities, and ages
• Availability to work their set schedule year round

Coaching Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in a positive manner to athletes based on the G-Force Gymnastics lesson plan outlines
• Create a fun learning environment for class participants at varied levels of comprehension and ability so they can reach their full athletic potential
• Ensuring equipment is safe and ready to use before an athlete uses it

Qualifications

• Our ideal candidate is engaged, high energy, punctual, and professional
• Gymnastics knowledge and/or experience a plus but not required
• Coaching and/or teaching experience a plus but not required
