Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Auto Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair, replacement, and installation of automotive glass for a wide range of vehicles. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team, in a fast-paced environment, while providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Auto Glass Installation & Repair: Install, replace, and repair windshields, side windows, rear windows, and mirrors in vehicles.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to assess the need for glass repair or replacement, provide quotes, and ensure satisfaction with the work performed.
- Glass Removal & Installation: Safely remove damaged glass and install new glass while following all safety protocols and industry standards.
- Calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS): Perform calibration of ADAS systems, including lane departure warnings, collision sensors, and more as required.
- Tools & Equipment: Use specialized tools and equipment to ensure accurate and safe installation and repair.
- Safety Compliance: Follow company and OSHA safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and track inventory levels of glass parts, adhesives, and related supplies.
- Documentation: Complete work orders, customer forms, and vehicle reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and the management team to meet performance goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an auto glass technician or in a similar field preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of auto glass repair techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
- Stamina to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable using power tools and working with glass products.
Salary : $18 - $22
