Job Responsibilities

- Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems and executing repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics
- Be customer-focused and support the mission and goals of G&H Towing

- Complete deliveries by driving trucks/vans to docks, placing orders in material lockers, and processing delivery tickets

- Manage coordination, organization, and planning, handle documents like bills of lading, shipping invoices, or delivery notes
- Oversee inventory control, documentation, and equipment maintenance
- Perform inventory controls to maintain quality standards for audits
- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and machinery to minimize downtime
- Prepare orders by processing material requests, pulling materials, packing, and placing orders in the shipping area
- Provide on-the-job for new employees in both warehouse and mechanical tasks
- Report any delivery defects
- Support the mechanic team by assisting in the maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues; escalate as needed
- Unloading materials from trucks, checking for accuracy and verifying materials are intact
- Willing to work overtime, including after hours, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or GED required; extensive experience may substitute for education
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Forklift experience required
- Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office, web browsers, email, and internet search engines
- Active and valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Ability to adapt to a warehouse environment and comply with OSHA standards
- Assist in both warehouse and mechanical tasks, including shipping and receiving materials, inventory control, and supporting mechanical repairs and maintenance. Perform a variety of duties to ensure smooth warehouse operations and support the maintenance team.

- Work hours will be assigned based on business needs however, work hours will typically be Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. By request from the department managers or department directors within Purchasing and Warehouse or Engineering, work hours may include irregular hours to assist in completing special tasks or assignments
- Out-of-regional travel may be required to attend training, seminars, or work-related events
- Work will be performed in the office
- Assist the executive team when requested to complete special projects and complete all assignments within a negotiated time frame established by the department manager or director
