Position Summary:
The project controls specialist works directly with the Project Controls Lead to support in the execution of all project controls processes and systems on small and large-scale delivery of projects.

The project controls specialist works directly with the Project Controls Lead to support in the execution of all project controls processes and systems on small and large-scale delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation and set-up of project baseline budgets, cost reports, workbooks and schedules
- Responsible for opening/closing new project assignments as necessary
- Provides a weekly summary of all labor charges for his/ her assigned project(s) to the project team
- for their review to ensure compliance
- Ensures his/ her project assignment’(s) invoicing is current; reviews all invoices for accuracy prior to
- submission to the Project Controls lead or Project Manager
- Reconciles accounting expenditures with cost reports being produced on a regular basis
- Assists with ongoing maintenance of project budgets, cost reports, workbooks, schedules and the reclassification or reallocation of charges as needed
- Supports the Project Controls Lead with the preparation of change orders
- Assists in the development and maintenance of periodic status reports to keep management and/or
- owner informed on the project progress
- Complies with established company policies and procedures and utilizes established systems and tools
- Compiles and enters historical data at project closeout for archiving purposes
- Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience and Skills:
- Experienced with MS Word and Excel software
- Basic knowledge of planning and scheduling systems and processes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers, co-workers, clients, customer; both oral and written
- Work Environment: This job operates in an office setting.
- Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
