Position Summary: GIS is looking for a Software Engineer. Qualified candidates should have working knowledge of the entire SDLC. The expectation is to work with multiple cross-functional teams under the supervision of lead Software Engineers to execute development projects. The requirements for this role would include adhering to project scope, timelines, capacity, and resources within a set budget. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code, test, and document programming for in-house developed applications
- Deploy applications in a corporate environment
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs on existing code and applications
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Conduct training for software products
- Generate reporting solutions where required
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an IT related major (IS, CS, CE)
- Experience: 1-5 years
- Skills: Experience with Agile software development methodologies a plus
- Proven working knowledge of OOP languages is essential
- Microsoft Power Platform knowledge a plus (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse)
- SharePoint Administration and basic design
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Excellent Communication, analytical thinking, problem solving, organization, flexibility, adaptability (multi-tasking), and teamwork are a must
Physical Requirements:
- Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. The role may require occasional travel.
- Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
