The Senior Director, 3PL Operations at G-III is a key member of the supply chain team responsible for overseeing third-party logistics (3PL) operations. Key responsibilities include building and nurturing strong relationships with 3PL providers, conducting comprehensive assessments of current 3PL operations, negotiating effectively with 3PL providers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes, and serving as the escalation point for resolving operational issues with 3PL partners.
This role also involves developing and implementing strategies for optimizing the use of 3PLs, designing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient communication between 3PL providers and internal stakeholders, and promoting alignment and collaboration across brand operators to streamline operations and achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in quality management, supply chain or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in logistics and distribution operations, with at least 8 years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of managing 3PL relationships, including negotiating contracts, ensuring accountability, and driving operational improvements
- In-depth understanding of both owned facility operations and 3PL environments
