Success Profile:
The Production Assistant will assist seamlessly with the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence. The Production Assistant will also run quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Reporting to: VP of Production
Brand/Product Focus: Karl Lagerfeld Sportswear
Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Key Accountabilities:
- Create Production purchase orders and send to factories; submit revised purchase orders with updates (MSRP, fabric, splits, customer changes, size break changes, quantity changes)
- Customer requirements: create/maintain manuals on packaging, labels, garment shipments (US, BTB, Canada Mexico); review existing manuals for updates/corrections and distribute as needed; send G-III shipping guidelines/forms; follow up and answer all questions regarding customer requirements, labeling, ticketing pertaining to manuals
- Price tickets from sales and/or customer directly, send to factories; handle customer sample requests from sales, follow up to obtain customer samples; maintain customer sampling chart
- Assistant in maintenance of chart to track fit, PP, TOP’s from each factory: enter Fit/PP/inline samples daily, pass to Tech and place samples with respective tech designers, log customer sales samples into chart and pass to sales team
- Create buy charts for all new orders
- Set up all new styles in Style Master; update HTS code, duty and material content codes based on testing reports
- Assist in obtaining initial costing, based on line sheet; maintain costing racking chart
- Maintain to-do list for all pending matters, from buy charts to daily workload
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Strong Excel skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field
- 0-2 years of prior experience in apparel production
- Strong project management skills
- Detail and task oriented
The pay range for this position is: $24.04 per hour/$50k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week) - $26.44per hour/$55k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)
