Success Profile:
The Director of Production for Calvin Klein/BCBG Suits is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality and timely delivery of products. The Director will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence, and will also run quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Key Accountabilities:
Production Calendar and Maintenance:
-Production system maintenance, including updating factory dates and ship modes, and passing all pertinent information to sales and logistics.
-Set up new factories and manage vendor profile.
-Yearly Cut and Delivery Calendar for full price and off-price/outlet.
-Confirm all costing and deliveries each season for all styles.
-Track and monitor that proto samples are on schedule and adhering to calendar deadlines. -Analyze and negotiate garment FOB costing with overseas offices and direct vendors.
-Monitor and negotiate garment costing to meet or exceed corporate margin goals.
-Checking in TOP samples against design specs and bulk swatches.
-Update and analysis of seasonal reporting.
-Issue purchase orders and aid in monitoring the production process.
Other Responsibilities:
-Partner with legal team so that all restricted substance testing is accurate and up to date by season.
-Organize weekly touch base meeting with sales to review current production standing and any outstanding issues.
-Work with design & merchandising teams as well as partners in overseas teams to supply costing options on marginally challenged styles.
-Work with buyer and merchandising on any production delivery delays and marginally challenged product.
-Collaborate with Fabric, Design, and Technical Design.
-Daily email communication with logistics regarding air & sea bookings.
-Daily email communication with QC regarding quality issues.
-Work with Sales teams for projections, minimums, deliveries, and sample requests.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in overseas production management, including experience with Suits category.
- Strong cost negotiating skills combined with a detailed knowledge and understanding of garment cost breakdown.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of product development process.
- Strong Excel and other computer skills.
- Must have the knowledge of how to estimate pricing.
- Knowledge of garment testing.
The pay range for this position is: $125,000 - $135,000 per year.
