Overview
G & M Dege, Inc. is a full service petroleum pump & tank contractor serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties (Long Island, NY) seeking a fuel maintenance service technician/mechanic for maintenance and installation of gasoline station equipment & related components. G&M Dege, Inc, is a third-generation family owned business operating on Long Island since 1961. We treat our employees as family with the average tenure of employees of 20 Years.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and install fuel dispensers; fuel hoses; fuel nozzles; fuel pumps; fuel tank gauges & alarms; fuel valves & fittings; fuel monitoring system; tank & line monitoring system; meter calibration; various other types of equipment in fueling facility.
- Perform on site compliance Testing for various mandated petroleum bulk storage facility requirements in Nassau and Suffolk County.
- Repairs and installation to the Point of Service (POS) Systems, including repair/maintenance of Wayne Commander & Gilbarco Passport systems.
- Repairs to tank field components including overfill protection, spill buckets, ball floats, and sensors.
Experience
- 0 - 10 years of experience welcome to apply. If you have no experience, but are technical and excited to work, we will Train You!
- Manufacturer Certifications (i.e. Omntec, Veeder-Root / Gilbarco, Wayne) are a Plus, but not required.
- Wayne Commander and/or Gilbarco Passport Experience is a Plus
- Ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions quickly
- A valid driver's license is required for travel to client sites
