Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Moulder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Wood Moulder Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wood moulding machines to shape and finish wood products to specified dimensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wood processing, machinery operation, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate wood moulding machines to produce high-quality wood products (e.g., trim, mouldings, and other wood components) according to blueprints, work orders, or customer specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure proper operation and meet production targets.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet required specifications, dimensions, and finish standards.
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Maintain accurate records of production, including materials used, production times, and machine settings.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or production issues as needed.
- Adhere to company policies, including safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in training new operators or team members as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience operating wood moulding machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of wood types, machinery, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working with machinery.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of industry-standard quality control and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a similar wood manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
