Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. The Custodian will work both independently and as part of a team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in various environments.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping and floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as power washing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Carry out occasional painting and touch-up work as needed to keep facilities looking fresh.
- Execute custodial duties in commercial settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized and organized.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of equipment and spaces.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain supplies for custodial operations.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial painting techniques is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
