What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertilizer Nutrient Formulation Tech position at G.S. Long Co., Inc.?
Position Summary:
1. Build and formulate fertilizer
2. Repackage fertilizer
3. Accurately measure and weigh liquid and dry fertilizer
4. Routine inspection and maintenance of fertilizer equipment
5. Ensure inventory matches delivery requirements
6. Ensure quality assurance of products
7. Maintain clean work environment
8. Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job/ Experience Requirements:
- Operate material handling equipment including forklift and other equipment as required
- Successfully pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug-screening
- Must pass Respirator Fit test and be clean shaven daily
- Read, write, and understand the English language
- Present a professional image to our customers through personal appearance and overall branch cleanliness
- Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)

- Professional and pleasant disposition, able to give all clients a positive customer service experience.
- Dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills required.
- Ability to perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers.
- Contribute to a team approach by being versatile, flexible, and having a positive outlook in interactions with co-workers and customers.
- Willing to work extended hours during peak season, including mandatory Saturday work from Memorial day to Labor day.
Physical Requirements of This Position:
HEAVY WORK: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
