Since 1946, G & V Machine Company, a full-service production CNC machine shop, has crafted various metal parts for our wide diverse customer base that includes agriculture, construction, offroad highway trucking, forestry, mining, and other industries around the world.
Job Summary:
This is an entry level position with potential for growth and advancement.
Responsible for a variety of facility maintenance tasks including building maintenance, preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to avoid unexpected downtime
- Collaborate with other team members to address maintenance needs efficiently
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Pump out old coolant from CNC machines
- Remove trapped swarf and debris from sump and channels
- Clean sump tank and conveyor
- Flush coolant system
- Check for leaks
- Refill coolant tank
- Check coolant filters and strainers
- Replace filters and strainers if necessary
- Operate forklift
- Add oil to machines
- Replace bulbs
- Perform basic repairs throughout the facility
- Other duties as assigned
