Since 1946, G & V Machine Company, a full-service production CNC machine shop, has crafted various metal parts for our wide diverse customer base that includes agriculture, construction, offroad highway trucking, forestry, mining, and other industries around the world.

BASIC DUTIES:

To perform all duties of a Toolmaker and perform other tasks as assigned or requested.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to: Manager of Product Engineering.

Offers assistance to: Production.

POSITION DUTIES:

1. Manufacture and assemble fixture and tooling components to achieve estimated rates.

2. Perform required maintenance of fixtures and tooling as needed or requested.

3. Sharpen cutting tools as needed or requested.

4. Perform rework on non-conforming parts.

5. Submit fixtures, tooling, or parts to inspection for verification.

6. Perform manual machining operations on job orders including manufacture of

prototypes.

7. Set up and run CNC mills

8. Proficient in CNC setup and operation

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Two-year degree plus at least 2 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of experience and training. We will train the right person for the job.

Ability to clearly communicate with employees, peers, and management.

Good mechanical aptitude, shop mathematics and understands machining processes.

Advanced print reading and specification interpretation.

At least 2 years of toolmaking experience in a manufacturing environment.

Note: Requirements can be waived at the discretion of the department head.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
