Position Summary:
The Driver I will safely operate vehicles such as vans, box trucks, or other non-CDL vehicles to transport goods and ensure the timely delivery and unloading of merchandise to customer locations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate commercial delivery vehicle (GVWR 10,000 – 26,000 lbs)
- Follows schedules and uses navigation apps to plan each route based on road and traffic conditions.
- Load and unload merchandise for customers on local deliveries.
- Handle boxes, containers, packages of various weights and sizes.
- Maintain merchandise resale value and quality by protecting it from damage.
- Maintain vehicle and work areas in clean, orderly and safe condition.
- Performs vehicle maintenance checks and arranges regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle. Reports any mechanical and operational issues to management.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
- Proper completion of regulatory and administrative forms and reports relating to vehicle operation.
- Report damaged/missing product to supervisor or Branch Manager.
- Interacts with customers in a professional manner and provides whatever customer assistance is appropriate under the circumstances and according to company policies.
- When not making deliveries, assist in the warehouse as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years prior warehouse, delivery and forklift experience preferred. Candidate must be organized, detail orientated and able to work as part of a team. Must possess a clean driving record, medical card and/or the ability to maintain one, and depending on the state either a License for Hire, Chauffer’s license or Class C license. Must be certified in operating a forklift.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8 hours
- Ability to operate and navigate commercial delivery vehicle (GVWR 10,000 - 26,000 lbs)
- May be required to sit for long periods of time.
- May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and reaching, pushing and pulling of merchandise, products and materials.
- Consistently follows procedures and adheres to standards
- Must be able to understand and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and follow directions.

Working Conditions:
Due to the open warehouse environment, must be able to work in various indoor climatic conditions including heat, humidity and cold. Maneuvers in small areas and/or around various objects
