Electrical Design Engineer I

The Electrical Design Engineer I within our Production Engineering team is responsible for designing customer specified custom switchgear products to our G&W's quality standard. This position will specialize in our entire catalog of overhead and underground switchgear products. As an Electrical Design Engineer I you will :

• Design to order per customer provided specification within a team environment
• Provide design competency to industry standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC, ANSI, UL, NEMA, etc.)
• Design products to internal engineering design standards and best practices within customer lead time and quality expectations
• Coach, maintain and assist technical aptitude among design team members
• Be a change agent in department and company by identifying and resolving root causes through problem solving activities
• Provide technical support for internal and external customers
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support and provide technical aptitude for company and departmental projects as needed (e.g. Product Development, Aftermarket Support, Application Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing)

We are looking for someone who :

Ideally you will also have experience with :

Design For Manufacturability (DFM), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Design of Experiments (DOE)

What we offer you :

Typical pay is $63,550 - 82,513 annually.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
