Position Summary : Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager in Production Engineering, the Global Engineering System Administrator is responsible for providing technical expertise, system implementation, testing, requirements gathering, and enterprise system design support for multiple business units. This role operates in a fast-paced global environment and focuses on the administration and optimization of design tools, including CAD systems.
Primary / Essential Responsibilities :
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for global CAD systems, including CAD (Creo Parametric and Schematic), Drawing Viewers, and other programs; stay current with industry trends, conduct annual risk assessments, and make strategic recommendations
- Partner with Engineers and Designers to enhance tool quality and efficiency by gathering user feedback and implementing process improvements, best practices, and training programs (individual and group settings)
- Work closely with IT, PLM Administration, and Product Design Automation Specialist to enhance system integration and improve user experience
- Ensure universal and global consistency in tools and applications, including hardware and software recommendations for optimal performance
- Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives related to design tools and application
- Oversee global CAD budget, software upgrades, testing, and licensing compliance
- Develop and maintain 5-year strategic roadmap for Global CAD infrastructure
- Define and implement best practices for managing standard parts libraries to support electrical and mechanical teams
- Troubleshoot CAD-related issues, respond to service requests, and support Manufacturing and customers in ensuring proper access to drawings in 1500 user environment
