Director, Global Learning & Development

The Director of Global Learning & Development is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive learning and development strategies that support the organization's global goals - focused on both technical and leadership training. This role involves overseeing a team of learning professionals, managing global training programs, and ensuring that learning initiatives enhance employee performance and organizational effectiveness across all regions.

As a Director of Global Learning & Development you will be responsible for :

Strategic Leadership :

Develop and execute a global learning and development strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and culture.

Lead the creation of innovative learning programs that drive employee engagement, retention, and performance improvement.

Partner with senior leadership to identify key learning priorities and ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Program Development and Training Delivery :

Oversee the design and implementation of global training programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance training.

Offer a variety of training methods, including in-person workshops, online courses, blended learning, and OTJ training.

Ensure that learning programs are culturally relevant and accessible to a diverse, global workforce.

Utilize advanced learning technologies and methodologies to enhance program delivery and effectiveness, including an LMS to manage and deliver programs.

Incorporate interactive and engaging training methods, such as simulations, gamification, and virtual reality.

Performance Measurement and Improvement :

Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs.

Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.

Analyze data to identify trends, measure ROI, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve learning initiatives.

Report on learning outcomes and progress to senior leadership.

Global Coordination and Collaboration :

Collaborate with regional HR leaders and business units to ensure consistent delivery and implementation of learning programs.

Build relationships with external partners, including training vendors and consultants, to enhance program offerings.

Team Management :

Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals and apprentices, providing guidance, support, and professional growth opportunities.

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team and the broader organization.

Compliance and Best Practices :

Ensure all learning programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements across different regions.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development.

Regularly review and update training materials to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

Foster a culture of continue learning and development within the organization.

We are looking for someone with :

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of designing and implementing global learning strategies and programs, including at the hourly level.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other learning technologies.

Experience with facilitation and / or addressing audiences ranging from 10-300

Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Ideally you will have :

A Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).

Experience with digital transformation and the integration of new learning technologies.

What we offer you :

Typical pay is $128,700 - 170,500 annually.

Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program
