As a Lead Shop Technician operating out in our Atlanta, GA branch you will be responsible for preparing forklifts for delivery, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts, aerial lifts, and other powered material handling equipment. The Lead Shop Technician also supports the Shop Foreman by managing the workload of the team, assisting with complex troubleshooting and repairs, and monitoring the team's Work in Progress (WIP). The role also includes supporting the maintenance and repair of the rental fleet.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safely troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on forklifts
- Maintain and repair internal combustion and electric powered equipment
- Support and repair damage to rental fleet
- Assist other team members in the field with repair work
- Serves as a mentor and aids less experienced technicians
Qualifications:
- Three years’ experience as a Technician in Material Handling or a related industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic Systems
- Previous experience evaluating and repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, tractors, automobiles or similar pieces of equipment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Must be computer literate, able to use tablet and a laptop for field diagnostics and internet resources
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, be able to pass preemployment drug screens, background checks, and physicals.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
